The Love You Didn’t Have to Earn

God was never waiting for your usefulness—only your presence.

You don’t have to prove yourself here.

You don’t need to be spiritual enough, pure enough, healed enough,

or useful enough

to be loved.

Because you already were.

Before you said the right words.

Before you stopped struggling.

Before you “got better.”

Love had already said yes to you.

You may have learned to earn attention.

To become what others needed so you wouldn’t be abandoned.

To perform belonging so you’d feel safe.

But God was never looking for your résumé.

Only your presence.

You don’t need to do anything right now.

You only need to let yourself be seen.

🜅 God was not waiting for your effort. God was waiting for your presence.

TEACHING PROMPT:

Take a breath and ask yourself:

What part of me still believes I have to earn love?

Hold that part gently.

And whisper back:

You’re already loved. You don’t have to fight anymore.
